![]() Mine's in a medium sized basement living room, and the system is as loud as I'd like it to be even at 50-60% of max volume. However, anything with 8ohm impedance or better is probably going to sip power from this sort of thing just fine unless you are trying to fill a really big room with sound. If you have power hungry hifi speakers, then yeah, 75wpc is not going to do the trick for a full surround setup. My speakers are all Klipsch Reference Premiere which are well known for not needing a ton of power to drive them, but the point is: the knowitalls insisting that you'll never be able to power a full surround system on a receiver like this are just mostly wrong. However, I have this receiver with a 5.1.2 setup (front left/right, rear left/right, sub, 2 upfiring atmos) and it sounds amazing. Yes, it's not the most powerful receiver at 75 watts per channel w/2 channels driven.
